Wimdu is a German website, created in 2011, which has also grown rapidly. It is currently spread across 150 countries with more than 350,000 advertisements for houses, apartments, studios, and small inns and hostels. For those who are going to travel in Europe, it is a great option, since there is concentrated the largest number of properties, and many of them with very cheap prices. For those looking for a place in Brazil, Wimdu can be a problem, as it does not show the value in reais, despite having a Portuguese version. On a positive note, the site warns which accommodations have already been checked by them and are in accordance with the quality standard promised by the company. In addition, there are recurring promotions, called WoW, sometimes with 50% of the daily rate.

The evaluation site Tripadvisor has been growing in possibilities in the last few years, by adding new tool options. One of them is Rentals, where you can find rental properties. As a result of the purchase of other sites (such as Holiday Lettings and FlipKey), adding the properties advertised on these, Tripadvisor Rentals has houses and apartments available in more than 200 countries. Its interface is not as good as those of other companies, having the same design as all other services on the site, whose search is a little confusing.

THE Exchange is the Portuguese version of HomeExchange, home exchange site that came to appear in the film “O Amor não Tira Férias”. The site charges the amount of R $ 230.00 per year to make the number of exchanges you want. Created in 1992 in book format and evolving into a social network, the company currently has more than 65,000 homes in 150 countries. As going to the same place where your guest came from can be a little difficult, the site allows members to receive guests, whether they are at home or not, and win a balloon, which can be exchanged for a trip to somewhere else .

THE GuestToGuest it also proposes the exchange of houses, but without paying for it. Following the idea of HomeExchange, you can make a reciprocal exchange, going to that host’s house that will come to yours, without having to happen on the same date. As a non-reciprocal exchange option, the company developed GuestPoints, which work in the same way as the TrocaCasa balloon: you, as a host, can receive someone in your home without having the objective of going to their destination, with that, you earn a certain amount of points that will “buy” your next stay, in any other destination. Regarding security, GuestToGuest guarantees that it seeks to do a thorough check of the hosts; about 75% of the 330,000 homes in 187 countries have already been verified. Although the hosting is free, the site charges a small service fee to the hosts.

THE Tripping it is not a rental site, but an aggregator of several other sites. It works like the Trivago, only for houses and apartments for seasons. The company does not yet add a large number of sites, but it can be a good option to find your ideal hosting. Despite this, as it joins sites that have both hotels and houses (like Booking.com), the search ends up finding both options. And even though it has a nice interface, the site is a little slow, it doesn’t have a Portuguese version, and the values appear in dollars.
