↳ Chrome adopts HTML5 as standard for most sites

Google proposed making HTML5 the default instead of Flash in its Chrome browser in May. With the latest version, Chrome 55, the company has almost completed the transition. Chrome now adopts the HTML5 standard, except when a Flash-only site or one of the top 10 sites on the Web. For any other site you visit, you will be asked to activate Flash the first time you access it.
