↪ Apple spokesman comments on concerns about abandoning EPEAT environmental rating on Macs

Apple has a comprehensive initiative to measure our environmental impact and all of our products meet stringent energy efficiency standards supported by the US government, Energy Star 5.2. We also lead the industry by specifying greenhouse gas emission levels for each product on our website, and Apple products are superior in other important environmental areas not measured by EPEAT, such as removal of toxic materials.

The statement comes three days after the news that Apple has abandoned the seal Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool on your Macs iGadgets they are not affected because they have never been covered by EPEAT. (The Loop)
