Sonnet's solutions (1, 2) are not bad, but why make the Mac mini an Xserve if it can be placed in a rack and used as a server? In the photo below, you see a rack with nothing less than 160 mini Macs or 640 processing cores, if you prefer this way. The same rack can hold 40 Xserves, totaling 320 cores (ie, half). What about?
